PM Najib Hosts Lunch For S'pore PM Lee At Seri Perdana

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Thursday hosted a lunch for his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong at Malaysian PM's official residence Seri Perdana in conjunction with the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders' Retreat. Najib greeted Lee and Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen upon their arrival at the prime minister's official residence at 1.10 pm. Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and several other ministers, among them Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, Defence Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, Transport Minister Kong Cho Ha and Youth and Sports Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek also attended the lunch. After lunch, Lee and his delegation were served a variety of local fruits, including durian of the D197 Mousang King, D24 and D160 Tekka varieties, honey jackfruit J33, rambutan, mangosteen and guava. They were also briefed on the fruits by Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) director-general Ahmad Ishak.
