Poll:Foreign tourists impressed with Thai people's hospitality
BANGKOK, February 1 (TNA) - A recent survey found that foreign visitors to Thailand were impressed with Thai people's hospitality most, at 7.11 score on average out of 10, followed by Thai cultures, tourist destinations, the environment and easy access to labour.
The survey, conducted by Bangkok-based Assumption University, known as the ABAC Poll, also found that 56.2 per cent of the respondents traveled to Thailand for pleasure, 32.2 per cent for business, and 21.7 per cent for investment.
Most of the international tourists said they were satisfied with their travels to Thailand, praising Thai people for their friendliness and kindness, and almost of them, or 97.1 per cent, would like to return to the Thai Kingdom again and would love to recommend Thailand as one of the world's most attractive tourist destinations to their families and friends.
Noppodon Kannika, Director of Assumption University's public policy for ASEAN affairs research centre, told journalists of the results of the poll, themed "Thailand through the Eyes of Foreigners", in which 969 international tourists were interviewed from January 15-30, 2013. (TNA)
