Premier hails sports achievement

Manama, Feb.10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa on the superb achievement of the Bahrain National Basketball Junior team, which won the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) championship in Muscat. HRH the Premier extended deepest congratulations to HH Shaikh Isa for his role in promoting basketball, commending the national team for its superb performance all along the championship. He hailed the strenuous efforts undertaken by HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa to develop budding basketball talents to be able to compete in regional and international competitions. HRH the Premier commended the national team’s administrative and technical staff and the players for their dedicated efforts which earned them the GCC trophy.
