President Jeenbekov’s working visit to Moscow-photo report

Bishkek, Feb.28, 2020 /Kabar/. Two-day working visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov began on Feb. 27 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin Wall in Moscow.
The Kyrgyz leader honoured the memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. The anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic was played.
President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The leaders discussed current trends and prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Russian bilateral relations.
Besides, the Kyrgyz President met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
The sides exchanged views on current areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including in trade and economic sphere, as well as on regional security issues, combating extremism and terrorism.
In the evening, Feb. 27, the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow hosted the opening ceremony of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia with the participation of the two Presidents.
In their welcoming speech, the leaders noted the commitment of Kyrgyzstan and Russia to the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership.
They stressed with satisfaction the intensive dynamics of cooperation between the two countries in all areas.
Creative teams and artists of the two countries performed at the opening ceremony.
