President of Kyrgyzstan gives state of the nation address following III WNG

In connection with the completion of the Third World Nomad Games President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed his gratitude to all compatriots, creative collectives, art masters, sponsors, volunteers and those who provided public order during the games. The President’s press service reported that in his address Jeenbekov said that this large-scale event, which demonstrated to the whole world the magnificent culture of ancient nomadic people, its valor, spiritual potential and the unique beauty of our land, achieved its goals and served to raise the authority of the country on the world stage. “The revived native traditions and customs, the enduring heritage of the nomads aroused the great interest of the peoples of the world. The spectators of the Games were more than 70 thousand foreign tourists from different parts of the world. About 3 thousand sportsmen and participants from 74 countries of all continents took part in the Games. This grandiose event was covered by more than 600 representatives of foreign mass media. In 60 countries of the world, a live broadcast of the Games was organized. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of our international partners and sports organizations, as well as diplomats,” he said in his address. President Jeenbekov said that he bows to hospitality, patriotism and goodwill of the people of Kyrgyzstan – his compatriots who have shown themselves as a hospitable host, having welcomed guests from different countries with open arms! “Within the framework of the III World Nomadic Games, a meeting of the Permanent International Altai Conference was held. One of the significant events in the days of the Games was also the holding of the summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking States. The ceremony of the official opening of the Games was attended by the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkey, the Prime Minister of Hungary and members of the governments of some other foreign states, which indicated the growing international authority of our state. International experts recognized the Third World Games as one of the most significant events of 2018. Thus, it was confirmed that the nomadic culture is the most important factor of the world civilization and cultural development these days. It is obvious that the unique project implemented by Kyrgyzstan has become a significant event of a global scale with a beautiful future. The ethnographic center "Golden age of nomads" on Kyrchyn jailoo was organized by the forces of all regions of our country and was visited by more than 150 thousand guests. Guests of the Games admired the beautiful view of our yurts, lined up in a series of 13 hordes, surprisingly beautiful products of our folk craftsmen. More than 30 creative teams from different parts of the world took part in the ethnofestival "The World of Nomads" and demonstrated their skills,” the address said. Jeenbekov also said that the World Nomad Games were held three times on the Kyrgyz land, on the shore of the sacred Issyk-Kul and this large-scale event of the world level strengthened the unity of Kyrgyz people, helped raise patriotic spirit. “The right to host the Fourth World Nomad Games was moved to Turkey with the condition that the authorship of Kyrgyzstan be preserved. This is important for maintaining the international level of this unique project in the future. Kyrgyzstan is interested in the worldwide popularization of the nomadic games in accordance with Kyrgyz rules, philosophy and goals,” he said.
