PUBLIC SERVICE TO BE IMPROVED WITH INTRODUCTION OF SMART TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Asian Development Bank is implementing programs and projects to improve public service by introducing a smart transportation system. Today, Minister of Road and Transport Development D.Ganbat met with ADB delegates, who introduced “Smart transportation system” and “Improving traffic safety” projects and future plans. According to the introduction, within the ADB projects, measures and actions have started with a purpose of creating a system to make an audit of traffic security, training skilled human resource, renewing vehicles and reduce the number of right-hand drive vehicles. The Minister noted that controlling intercity transportation service with GPS is a start of digitalization of activities in the road transportation sector, which needs improvements in facilitating, speeding up and increasing transportation and in creating digital data and developing necessary software. He further underlined and proposed to include measures and actions to achieve these goals in ADB’s programs and projects. The sides agreed to actively cooperate in developing transportation sector.
