Reception Held in Honor of DPRK Women Football Team Members

Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- The National Sports Guidance Committee Wednesday hosted a reception at Okryu Restaurant in honor of the DPRK women football team who returned home after winning the title of the 2017 EAFF E-1 Football Championship. Present at the reception were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who doubles as chairman of the NSGC, Ri Ryong Nam, vice-premier of the Cabinet who doubles as chairman of the DPRK Football Association, Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Kim Jang San, secretary general of the DPRK FA, officials concerned, women footballers, coaches and their families. Choe Hwi said in his congratulatory speech that the success registered by the women footballers is greatly encouraging all the service personnel and people who came out in the all-out onward campaign for wining the final victory in building a socialist power true to the Party's guidance. He called upon the footballers and coaches to redouble their efforts, bearing in their mind the Party's trust and the people's expectation and create a fresh legendary story at international games. Chief Coach Kim Kwang Min and footballer Kim Nam Hui said in their replies that their recent success is utterly attributable to the love and trust by the Party which has taken warm care of sportspersons and led them to a shortcut to the sports powerhouse in every aspect. -0-
