SCH President meets Saudi Health Undersecretary

Manama, June 25 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), Lt-Gen Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa today received Saudi Health Undersecretary for Planning and Transformation, Dr. Khalid Al Shaibani, in the presence of SCH Secretary-General Ibrahim Al Nuakhtha. Ways of promoting cooperation and the exchange of expertise on the National Health Insurance Programme (My Health) were discussed, in addition to medicine policies, including supply, storage dispensation and management. The SCH President welcomed bolstering health cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chiefly in the health insurance programme implemented in both kingdoms. The SCH President highlighted the interest of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government chaired by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, in boosting cooperation with the Saudi Arabia in various fields, mainly in health sector. He reviewed the latest developments in the National Health Insurance Programme that aimed at building a distinct health system based on quality and sustainability in delivering health services. The Saudi Health Undersecretary highlighted the latest developments of the Saudi National Transformation Programme (NTP) and its role in achieving the Saudi National Vison 2030 and other initiatives as part of the NTP initiatives.
