SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AMONG SCHOOLCHILDREN TAKES PLACE

Darkhan-Uul /MONTSAME/ A scientific conference among schoolchildren ‘Dino Baby’ was co-organized by the Museum in Darkhan-Uul province and the Central Dinosaur Museum of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar city on February 13. In order to increase knowledge about dinosaur discoveries in Mongolia, a lesson is taught for students of 3rd to 5th grades of the 15th, 18th and Jiguur complex schools in the province beginning from the academic year of 2017. At the conference, 18 pupils were chosen from the first round of a speech contest. Out of them D.Anujin 5th grade student, N.Bilguun, 5th grade student and Kh.Anudari, 3rd grade student received prizes. After bringing back Tyrannosaurus Bataar in Mongolia, the exhibit was staged in the museum of the province. The two museums initiated a campaign named "Dino Baby" for children in consideration of their big interests in knowing more about dinosaur fossils.
