SCW holds training workshop

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW) has organized a training workshop on how to prepare women-supportive programmes in women societies, as part of the Supreme Council’s cooperation with the relevant civil society organisations (NGOs). Presented by Bahija Al Dlaimi, the workshop was held to support women’s socio-economic needs and boost the role of women societies and committees in the civic institutions, to implement developmental programmes addressed to women in the relevant field, through identification of planning and implementation mechanism and financing the implementation of projects backed by official efforts to effectively and quickly reach out the needy community members innovatively and without institutional bureaucracy. The workshop included practical training application regarding women-supportive programmes and projects concerning women societies, setting the main goals as well as requisite HR, financial and logistic resources, and the timetable and methods of follow-up, monitoring and assessment.
