Shaikh Nasser praises Bahraini cyclist’s achievement

Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the achievement of the Bahrain National Cycling Team cyclist Razan Mohammed Subh in winning the bronze medal in the individual race for women under 23 years of age in the Asian Cycling Championship. His Highness affirmed his continued support to all athletes, in order to enable more achievements that consolidate the Kingdom of Bahrain on the map of world sports. This came during His Highness’ reception of Razan Subh in the presence of Ahmed Al Buainain, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Cycling Association and coach Munir bin Jarida. His Highness congratulated them on this achievement, resulting from hard work during the championship preparations, which qualified the cyclist to compete alongside world-class cyclists. His Highness wished the cyclist further success in the coming championships and competitions. His Highness also commended the efforts of the Bahrain Cycling Association President, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the members of the Board of Directors, and all workers within the association who toiled to provide the best atmosphere for cyclists. His Highness stressed the importance of providing facilities and services to sports associations which enable their application of the best programmes that develop the skills and capabilities of Bahraini athletes. Subh expressed her gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the great and unlimited support he provides to all athletes in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is reflected in the amount of achievements in various sports. She confirmed her determination to continue working hard, in order to garner more achievements and to raise the flag of Bahrain in the most prominent international sports forums and gatherings. WHQ
