Share of foreigners in ISE up

ISTANBUL (A.A) - The share of foreign investors in the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) has increased to 62.24 percent. The Central Registry Institution -- a board in Turkey that keeps a registry of lawful owners of securities -- revealed figures on Monday indicating that as of January 6, 2012, foreign investors owned 43.87 percent of the shares transacted at the ISE with the total market value becoming 62.24 percent. The number of shares owned by foreign investors was 16,085,025,437  with a total value of 85.5 billion Turkish liras. The foreigners' share in the ISE was 62.08 percent on December 30, 2011.
