SPEAKER M.ENKHBOLD VISITS TSAGAAN SAR EXPO

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold on Wednesday visited a Tsagaan Sar expo being held at the Independence Square on Wednesday. The expo of traditional dairy products is being held by herding households from Arkhangai aimag. More than 300 herders came to Ulaanbaatar bringing 320 tons of dairy products. The expo is being held for the third year. The Speaker inquired about the state of wintering in the province and price rate of dairy products in the market, before buying some products. The exhibitors said that the products were tested by the General Agency for Specialized Inspection. Speaker M.Enkhbold is known to endorse increased consumption of traditional dairy products. “Milk is a strategic product. The Government will work towards its increased consumption by the population and support manufacturing on policy level starting in 2019,” he said, citing a record in 1918 that traditional dairy products constituted about 55 percent of the population food consumption in Mongolia.
