SURVEY ON DEFINING BODY MEASUREMENT OF MONGOLIAN CHILDREN UNDERWAY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A survey on defining body measurement of Mongolian children is being conducted by the Center for Clothing Study of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology with non-refundable aid from the Asian Development Bank..
Previously, the study was made in 1993 and this time survey was ordered by the Government of Mongolia and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry within the framework of formulating principle standard of production.
The survey started in January, 2018 and plans to involve 20 thousand students from 9 provinces and 9 districts. Currently, measuring work has been done at two secondary schools in the capital city and in 4 provinces.
The survey aims to create national standard and database based on three-dimensional body measurements of children aged between 6 and 18. The survey will be conducted until June to define fundamental data of child's body measurement in categories of age and gender.
