Symantec Rolls Out New Norton Anti-Virus Software

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- Security, storage and systems management solutions provider, Symantec Corp, today rolled out its latest Norton 360 Everywhere and Norton 360 Version 6.0 anti-virus software. Symantec Corp Regional Consumer Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific, David Hall said some enhanced features of the Norton 360 Version 6.0, includes Norton identity safe, Norton management, bandwidth management, improved backup and anti-phishing. "This new version is also compatible with the latest pre-release of the Windows 8," he told a media briefing here Tuesday. The Norton 360 Version 6.0 can be installed on up to three computers and is available for purchase through various retailers and the Norton online store at http://store.norton.com/my/en/, at a retail price of RM229 (about US$76). (US$1=RM3.02) The price includes the three-computer licence, a one-year subscription, Symantec's protection updates and a full year of Norton's customer support. Meanwhile, for the Norton 360 Everywhere, Hall said the software provides security across computers, Macs, Android-based phones and tablets. "Many families today have some combination of computers, Macs, smart phones and tablets, all of which need security of their own to protect against online threats, data loss, and device loss and theft. "Norton 360 Everywhere will deliver a multiplatform solution where consumers can customise their security to meet their specific needs," he added.
