Tehran-Baghdad trade volume hits $13 billion

Trade volume between Iran and Iraq has reached $13 billion, Iranian Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou said.
"The mentioned amount is the highest figure in history of the two countries' bilateral trades," the IRNA News agency quoted Saeedlou as saying.
Meanwhile it was announced in June that the trade value between Iran and Iraq surpassed $6.35 billion in the previous calendar year, which ended on March 20.
Tehran's exports to Baghdad accounted for 98 percent on the mentioned amount, the IRNA News Agency reported.
Iraq also exported goods worth $83 million to Iran.
Baghdad was Tehran's third largest trade partner in the mentioned period.
It is estimated that Iran's technical and engineering services exports to Iraq also reached $3 billion in the previous year.
The two countries' trade volume stood at 9.7 billion dollars two years ago.
Iran's and Kurdistan region's economic transactions reportedly account for 59 percent of Iran's and Iraq's total economic trades.
