THAI to arrange 31 flights for Hajj this year
BANGKOK, July 22 (TNA) -- The national carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) will provide a total of 31 flights for Thai-Muslim pilgrims wishing to travel and attend the Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, this year, said THAI acting president Usanee Sangsingkeo.
More than 9,000 Thai pilgrims are expected to attend the Hajj this year and in order to facilitate them, a total of nine THAI flights will leave Suvarnabhumi International Airport, 16 flights from Hat Yai, four from Narathiwat and two from Krabi, said Ms Usanee.
THAI will offer an Airbus A330-300 with could accommodate 289 passenger seats, she said.
THAI has been providing annual services to Thai-Muslim pilgrims travelling to Mecca for the Hajj since 2005. (TNA)
