Three-Day World Chinese Medicine Forum Next Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Forty well-known experts will attend the three-day inaugural World Chinese Natural Medicine Forum here, beginning April 17, next year. They will deliver the findings of their research on the prevention and modulation of Non-Communicable Disease in Malaysia and Asia. The forum, jointly organised by the Malaysia Association of Natural Medicine Education and American Academy Naturopathic Medicine (AANM), will also promote the development of natural medicine in Asia. "We want to promote Chinese natural medicine through research and education so that it could be understood by the general public, academics and the medical profession," AANM chief executive officer Dr Ho Yung Ching told a press conference here Friday. Also present were Malaysia Association of Natural Medicine Education president Dr Chang Yoon Sang and Open University Malaysia (OUM) vice-president Repin Ibrahim. Later, Repin, on behalf of OUM, and Dr Ho, representing Taiwan Natural Medicine Organisation, signed a memorandum of understanding on natural medicine education. -- BERNAMA
