Turkey & Iran hold meeting on border security

HAKKARI (A.A) - Turkey and Iran held a meeting on "border security" in the south-eastern province of Hakkari on Wednesday. The meeting took place at the Hakkari Governor's office and was attended by Iranian Colonel Sayeed Wahid Musevi and a 10 member military delegation from the Iranian city of Orumiyeh. Hakkari Governor Muammer Turker chaired today's meeting which was also attended by Deputy Governor Onder Bozkurt, and representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and Turkish Police. Turkey and Iran hold meetings on border security every six months. During the meeting, both sides discuss border security, illegal human trafficking and counter-terrorism.
