Turkish fm Davutoglu meets Syrian official

ISTANBUL (A.A) -  Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met Syrian National Council Chairman Burhan Ghalioun in Istanbul on Sunday. Recent developments in Syria as well as council members' meetings in Tunisia, Belgium and Portugal were high on the agenda of the meting which was closed to press. Davutoglu said during the meeting that Syrian people would decide on the future of Syria. He noted that Syrian opposition, which wanted a democratic order based on basic human rights and freedoms, should express its demands through legitimate and rightful ways. It is necessary to exert efforts in peaceful ways for a democratic transition in Syria, added Davutoglu.
