Two Students From Botswana Found Dead At Templer Waterfall
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- Two private college students from Botswana
were found dead after they were believed to have fallen at the Templer
Recreational Park waterfall, near here, Monday.
Gombak police chief, ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said a man who was fishing in
the area found two bags and passports and went looking for the owners.
"He, however, found the bodies of two males floating in the water about
6.45pm," he said when contacted Monday.
Abdul Rahim said the man then contacted the police about the discovery. With
the help of the Selayang Fire and Rescue station personnel, the bodies of the
victims were brought out of the area at 10pm.
"They might have fallen from a high spot and did not die from drowning as
the water level where their bodies were found was shallow," he said, adding that
the two dead were clad only in their underwear.
The bodies were sent to Selayang Hospital and police have classified the
case as sudden death.
Gombak is a district located in the state of southern Selangor, Malaysia.
