Typhoon Advisory: Typhoon Goni Spotted in Southeast of Luzon, Philippines

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- Typhoon Goni which is moving from West to Southwest with a speed of 20 km/h (kilometres per hour) has been spotted approximately 815 km to the Southeast of Luzon, Philippines, based on observation at 8 am today. A typhoon advisory by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement today said the maximum wind speed can reach up to 213 km/h. According to the statement, the typhoon is about 1,571 km Northeast of Sandakan, Sabah in Malaysia. The statement however mentioned that the typhoon has no significant impact on Malaysia. -- BERNAMA
