UAE Embassy in Washington, Manchester FC present fenced playground on top of state school building to children

New York - June 10, 2012 (WAM) - UAE Ambassador to Washington Yousef Al Otaiba has attended the inauguration ceremony of the first fenced football playground built on top of the state school building in New York in the Lexington Academy New York, East of Harlem District. The playground is a gift presented to the Academy by the UAE Embassy in Washington and Manchester City football club, owned by H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, in the framework of the existing partnership between the Embassy and the English Sports Club, which began during the club's first tour in the United States in the summer of 2010. Commenting on the event, Ambassador Al Otaiba said the Embassy was pleased to have a role in providing the world class facilities to distinguished children in Lexington Academy. Principal of Lexington Academy Anthony Hernandez thanked the UAE Embassy and Manchester City FC for their valuable gift. This playground is the third gift in a row presented by both the UAE Embassy and Manchester City Club to children in US. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
