ULAANBAATAR MUNICIPALITY IMPLEMENTING SMART CIVIL SERVICE PROJECT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Governor Office of Ulaanbaatar is collaborating with the Asia Foundation to implement a project on improving municipal governance in 87 khoroos of ger areas of nine districts in 2017-2018.
In a scope of this project supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), some actions will be carried out, namely: ‘Civil service delivery-smart civil service’ that is asserted in 2016-2020 action plan of the Governor of capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, and digitalization of civil service and improvement of urban service delivery that are stated in the AF’s ‘Urban Governance Project II’.
With a purpose to improve the quality and access of municipal services and raise people’s satisfaction for public service, the AF’s ‘Urban Governance Project (UGP)’ receives advisory service of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for ‘Redesigning the process of civil administrative service’.
The PwC is responsible to draw outlines to current processes of 14 civil services that are determined as the mostly demanded by citizens, to analyze times and costs spending on receiving urban services and the outcome, to redesign the process of decent services that meet requirements of both parties as well as to conduct a broad-range plan to fulfill re-developed version. The outcome of the advisory service focuses on empowering local administrations to manage re-developed civil service delivery to citizens over next years.
