ULAN-UDE PROPOSES UB TO ESTABLISH COOPERATION MEMORANDUM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the Citizens Representatives’ Khural (City Council) S.Amarsaikhan met today with delegations headed by Chairman of the People’s Khural of the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation Tsyrenov-Dashi Dorzhiev. Ulaanbaatar and Ulan-Ude cities have friendly relationships since 1995 and authorities of the cities have co-organized many activities and works in the past. "Trade and economic cooperation between the two counties runs well and we have wide possibilities to collaborate in various sectors in future. We will render support and assistance to cooperation of businesspeople and investors," S.Amarsaikhan said. Recently, the City Council discusses about having economic and free trade zone in the capital city and commenced work to conduct a studies and estimations. “Over 100 thousand jobs can be created based on the free zone and the two cities can strengthen cooperation in directions of tourism, trade, industry and finance in scope of it,” he added. The city is intensifying work to organize tourist travel in route between Ulaanbaatar-Ulan-Ude-Erenhot, mentioned Mr.Tsyrenov-Dashi Dorzhiev and put a proposal to establish a memorandum of cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Ulan–Ude cities to define directions to develop the cooperation of the cities.
