WARNING ON ICY ROAD CONDITIONS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Road conditions in some parts of the country are reportedly rather slick due to continued snowfall in most areas of the country. On Monday, the National Auto Transportation Center reported on the road conditions in countryside. Most roads in Arkhangai aimag, mountain passes of Shart and Bumbat in Bayankhongor aimag and local roads of Darkhan-Uul, Uvurkhangai and Orkhon aimags have become more slick and dangerous, causing risks of accidents, the center warned. Roadways and passes in Gobi-Altai, Selenge, Sukhbaatar, Bayan-Ulgii, Zavkhan, Uvs, Khovd, Khentii, Khuvsgul, Dornod, Umnugobi, Gobi-Sumber, Dundgobi, Dornogobi aimags are normal. There is no mountain pass blocked by snow, by now. Snowfall and strong wind is expected in most regions in coming days and therefore citizens are advised to avoid travelling with own personal cars and drive with due care and attention in case of participating in road traffic.
