WBC champion Srisaket met PM

BANGKOK, Sept 13 (TNA) -- Srisaket “Laem” Nakornluang Promotion, the Super-flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, called on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and said he was glad to meet the latter again. Wisaksil Wangek, also known as Srisaket Nakornluang Promotion, met Gen Prayut at the Thai Khu Fah Building. Upon his arrival, journalists and officials took photographs with him and praising him for knocking out Nicaraguan Roman Gonzalez in the United States on Sept 9. After meeting the prime minister, Srisaket said he was glad to see Gen Prayut for the second occasion. The prime minister told him to take good care of himself and keep the champion title for as long as possible for the happiness of Thai people. He said the prime minister also advised him to complete his education and that he would like to be a governmental official. Srisaket met the prime minister for the first time on March 28 when he defeated Gonzalez for the first time on March 19. He also said that the prime minister gave a bag to his girlfriend and asked about their wedding plan. Srisaket said that he wanted to serve the nation for the time being. He had lived a hard life being a security guard and garbage collector. His girlfriend had always been there for him and given him moral support, he said. After his marriage, he would continue boxing, Srisaket said. (TNA)
