World Bank Study Shows Need For Enhancements In Govt Spending - Second Finance Minister
IPOH (Perak, Malaysia), March 10 (Bernama) -- Second Finance Minister Ahmad
Husni Hanadzlah says a study by the World Bank in four areas has revealed a need
for enhancements in government expenditure.
The four areas studied were education, high education, health and subsidy
allocation while the aspects taken into account were Malaysia's income that
should continue rising and prudent spending, he said.
The enhancements in government expenditure should be able to achieve the
desired level of effectiveness and efficiency, he told reporters in Kampung
Tengku Hussein Lama, Gugusan Manjoi, Saturday.
Perak is located in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
"In the context of the study, it was found that our prudent spending
practices had grown," he said, adding that the government planned to ask the
World Bank to conduct a similar study on other sectors and ministries.
