World #QuranHour Programme Set For May 13

KUALA LUMPUR, May 1 (Bernama) -- In conjunction with Ramadan, the World #QuranHour programme will be broadcast live on May 13. Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas founder, Hussamuddin Yaacub said the one-hour programme would start at noon over four television stations and digital platforms namely TV Alhijrah, RTM, Bernama TV, Astro Oasis, Sinar Harian and Ideaktiv. "The commitment and solidarity of all print, electronic and digital media had helped us to bring about this interacting with Al-Quran mission, from Malaysia to the world. "World #QuranHour, which enters its fifth year and will take place around the world on 20 Ramadan 1441H or Wednesday, May 13, 2020 will explore Surah Ar-Rahman as a solution for 'Global Harmony Reboot'," he said in a statement Friday. Hussamuddin said the World #QuranHour established since 2015 had been held in over 3,000 registered locations across Malaysia, 300 registered locations in 76 countries and had reached 1.46 billion access on social media. He added that this year's edition will be a new experience for all World #QuranHour activists as more people would be at home or in their offices. As a Muslim, he said the greatness of the Al-Quran should be the pillar of strength in facing huge challenges such as the COVID-19 and the difficult years ahead. -- BERNAMA
