World's Tallest Man Calls On Malaysians To Maintain Unity

MARAN (Pahang, Malaysia), Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Impressed with the strong unity and harmony shown by the multi-racial and multi-racial people in this country, the world's tallest man, Ijaz Ahmed, 29, on Monday called on the people to do their level best to maintain it. "Peace and prosperity enjoyed by the people in this country can't be bought with money. So, every citizen must try to preserve it. "You should be grateful to Allah for giving you the opportunity to enjoy what people in certain countries can only dream of," the Pakistani national who stands 296cm told reporters during his visit to Felda (Federal Land Development Authority) Jengka 4 here on Monday. The visit is part of his world tour programme organised by a non-government organisation, the Association for Maturity of Education and Environmental Needs. Accompanied by his brother, Jamil, 34, Ijaz's presence at Felda Jengka 4 clearly captured the attention of the local residents who wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to get up close and personal with world's tallest man. Happy with the warm welcome he received from the people, Ijaz said: "I will come again and I will tell all my friends in Pakistan that Malaysia is a very peaceful, beautiful and safe to be visited." The world tour programme is aimed at promoting the idea that every person has the rights to education and freedom of speech.
