Zayed Giving Initiative conducts 30 heart operations in Egypt

CAIRO, 13th October, 2016 (WAM) -- The Zayed Giving Initiative, ZGI, has announced that an Emirati-Egyptian medical volunteer team has carried out 30 heart valve transplants operations, in various Egyptian governorates. The move is a joint initiative between the Zayed Giving Initiative, Ain Shams University, Saudi German Hospital, the Dar Al Ber Society, and the Arab Association for Humanitarian Work. Dr. Adel Al Shamri, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said, "The move is a continuation of the Emirati-Egyptian volunteer programme to treat heart disease patients, which, since its inception over the past years, has been able to provide treatment for half a million children and the elderly in Egypt, and perform more than two thousand heart operations." - (Emirates News Agency, WAM) -http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates-international-aid/1395301095508.html
