Industry Minister Starts Visit to China, Meets with Ministers, Officials

Riyadh, September 18, 2023, SPA -- The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, has started an official visit to the People's Republic of China, during which he met with several ministers and officials in the Chinese Government, where he is also scheduled to hold a series of meetings with investors and visit companies and factories in various Chinese cities. The minister will also head the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation, participating as a guest of honour, to the conference of China and Arab countries.
Al-Khorayef's accompanying delegation includes the President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Eng. Khalid Al-Salem, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer and several leaders of the industry and mineral resources sector, where the visit aims to discuss a number of issues of interest to the two countries, mainly in the industry and mining sectors, and expanding the aspects for strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries.
In Beijing, Al-Khorayef met with Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong over means to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two nations in the fields of industry, exchanging expertise and technology, and expanding investment opportunities in the industrial sector. He also met with Chinese Minister of Natural Resources Wang Guanghua and President of China Geological Survey Li Jinfa over opportunities and challenges in the mining sector, enhancing cooperation to increase growth rates in the mining industry in the region. Al-Khorayef also met with the President of the China Mining Association, Peng Qiming and discussed means to boost joint interests and efforts to enhance economic growth and infrastructure development in the mining sector between the two countries. He also met with other officials over joint projects with Aramco in several petroleum and chemical industries.
