Iraq and Jordan Stress The Importance Of Closer Cooperation Between The Two Countries In All Fields
Baghdad / NINA /- First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
A statement by the media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated that the parliamentary delegation, headed by Mandalawi, met today, Tuesday, with the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi.
Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to the statement, that Iraq's current policy is keen to establish good and solid relations with its regional and international surroundings, and to open up to Arab countries with which it has historical, social and cultural relations, indicating that Jordan has a special place in the hearts of Iraqis for standing by their side in difficult circumstances, the last of which was the period of the war on terror.
During the meeting, according to the statement, the importance of closer cooperation between the two countries in all fields was emphasized, activating the role of the Iraqi-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and working to exchange experiences at the legislative level and official visits between officials of the two countries, in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly peoples./ End
