Iraq And Romania Discuss Prospects For Cooperation And Ways To Enhance Them

Baghdad / NINA / -The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr Al-Ulum, met the Romanian Ambassador in Baghdad, Radu Octavian Dupre.

 

The ministry stated in a statement that during the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation between Iraq and Romania and ways to enhance it for the benefit of the two friendly countries, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest, and moving forward to accomplish and sign agreements and memorandums of understanding.

 

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of holding the meetings of the fourteenth session of the Iraqi-Romanian committee in Baghdad to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing the tireless efforts made by the Iraqi government to address the issues of Iraqi immigrants in Europe and ensure their voluntary return to their country.

 

For his part, the Romanian ambassador expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the Iraqi government in its various institutions in following up on all relevant issues and files, stressing his country's support for the Iraqi government in all fields./ End
