Iraqi Embassy's Charge d'Affaires: HH the Amir's Visit to Baghdad Establishes Fresh Start for Qatari-Iraqi Bilateral Relations

Doha, June 15 (QNA) - Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Qatar Dr. Muhammad Issa Al Issawi affirmed that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to Iraq is historic and establishes a fresh start for bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
In his remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Al Issawi said that the visit of HH the Amir to Iraq carries a lot with it, given the aspirations of the two countries, their keenness to strengthen and develop relations in various fields, and is in light of Qatar's constructive and effective role in the regional and international arenas. He pointed out that during the visit, many cooperation files between the two countries in the political, economic, investment, and other fields would be discussed along with regional and international issues of common interest.
He indicated that HH the Amir's visit to Baghdad would witness the signing of a number of agreements to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields; forming joint teams to study various economic projects in Iraq to raise the level of cooperation in the economic and investment fields, especially in the energy sectors such as oil and gas, renewable energy and other related industries; facilitating and simplifying procedures for investment and transportation; enhancing the role of the private sector in supporting the economy; strengthening cooperation in the areas of climate change and confronting the risks of pollution and environmental deterioration.
Concluding his remarks to QNA, the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Qatar expressed Iraq's appreciation for Qatar's constructive stances in the region based on the wisdom and rational leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. (QNA)
