Katara Library of Arabic Novels Organizes Activities

 
 
Doha, February 22 (QNA) - The Katara Library of Arabic Novels, located in building 48, is getting ready to release a variety of cultural and literary events and activities to shed light on new events and activities in the literary and cultural field, such as book signings or a series of discussions of the most prominent books and publications. 
In this context, Director of the Katara Library of Arabic Fiction Khaled Al Mohannadi, invited book lovers to attend the book signing for the 'Eyes of the Drowned' series by Hussein Gilad. The event will be held next Saturday at seven in the evening at the library’s headquarters, and copies of this edition will be given to the attendees.
Al Mohannadi confirmed that the library seeks to widen its horizons to different types of innovators and authors in Qatar, as to contribute to the enrichment of the literary community, noting that the library continuously organizes a number of workshops for children, which center around the encouragement of reading and writing.
On previous occasions, Katara Novel Library has presented a number of diverse cultural events, which center around celebrating various cultures. Several communities residing in Qatar participated in those events, such as the activity of the Sudanese, Egyptian, Moroccan, Palestinian and others, in addition to several literary sessions attended by a group of intellectuals and those interested.
