Labour Ministers meets US Ambassador

Manama, July 11 (BNA): Jamil bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labor received the Steven Bondy, the United States of America Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting discussed ways to further develop the ongoing partnership in labour related matters.
Humaidan highlighted Bahrain's efforts in developing labour market regulations in line with the International Labor Organization (ILO) standards, in a manner which contributes to upholding the rights of workers and combating human trafficking.
The Ambassador congratulated Bahrain on retaining Tier 1 Status in the US State Department’s 2023 report on Trafficking in Persons (TIP), for the sixth consecutive year.
He praised the achievements made by Bahrain and its efforts in developing the labor market and protecting human rights.
