Large Amounts of Vegetables Produced

Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- The Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm under the North Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee of the DPRK has produced a large amount of vegetables for a little more than three years after its inauguration, contributing to enriching the people's diet.

Its officials and employees conducted all the farming work according to technical regulations and introduced a method of double cultivation to increase the per-hectare yield.

They paid attention to diversifying the variety of vegetable crops and introducing excellent varieties of vegetables and provided a guarantee for increasing the proportion of various strains of tasty and nutritious vegetable fruits in close cooperation with researchers of the relevant sectors.

Every year the farm produced a large amount of vegetables to supply them to the people in Chongjin City and other areas of the province and to major construction sites, schools for orphans, etc. -0-
