AUGUST IS A YOUTH DEVELOPMENT MONTH

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia is celebrating International Youth Day under the slogan ‘Youth – Force for Positive Change’ for a month. The ‘Youth Development Month’ activities commenced on August 12, International Youth Day in the Night-light Street of Ulaanbaatar. “August is a month of youth”, said S.Sukh-Ochir, Head of Youth Development Department of the capital city, main organizer of the event. A number of activities and events including ‘Positive Ulaanbaatar – 2017’ international youth festival, ‘We have goals’ youth forum, ‘A 1000 Horsemen Festival’, ‘DemoCrazy Carnival’, ‘Startup Mongolia’ event for young entrepreneurs and a youth volunteer day will be held this month. The month-long campaign aims to generate a discussion on utilizing youth efforts and participation on social challenges, and raise awareness on their social contribution. Co-organizers of the ‘Youth Development Month’ include Family, Youth and Child Development Agency, implementing agency of the government, Center for Civic Education and UNFPA. Kh.Aminaa
