Delegation from Kalmykia will take part in World Nomad Games

Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. Six archers, one wrestler and a designer will represent Kalmykia at the Third World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan. Prime Minister of Kalmykia, Igor Zotov, met on Friday with Kalmyk sportsmen who will take part in the forthcoming large-scale event in Kyrgyzstan on Sept. 2-8. It is expected that this year more than three thousand athletes from 80 countries will take part in the competition. Competitions will be held on the coast of Issyk-Kul on 37 types of ethnosport. The total prize fund will be 28 million soms (about 400 thousand dollars). According to head of the delegation Sanal Ochirova, now athletes are training hard and are ready to show themselves as much as possible, writes RIA Kalmykia. "We will try to represent the Republic with dignity," he concluded. Zotov also wished the members of the delegation success and promised to assist the next year in funding for training.
