First children's international music contest held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Mar.5, 2020. /Kabar/. The Obon (Melody) international music contest under the aegis of the "Year of Regional Development, Digitalization of the Country and Support for Children", has come to an end in Kyrgyzstan. An award ceremony was held on Thursday at the concert hall of the Shubin Children's Music School. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Jmankulov was among the honored the guests. "The contest was attended by 390 pupils from different music schools of Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Master classes were also held within the contest. Such events allow children to gather together from time to time, look at each other's level and learn something new. Teachers share their experience. Obviously, the event has a success, we from our part will continue to support,” the minister stressed. Grand Prix winner Aigerim, 11, said she came to Bishkek from Almaty, Kazakhstan. The girl masterly plays the violin. Director of the Shubin Children's Music School, singer Gulzinat Suranchiyeva said preparations for such an event started two years ago. During this period, the school was renovated, jury and teachers were selected. Young performers and musicians from 5 to 15 years old demonstrated their talents in the following areas: piano, string, wind and national instruments. The next competition is scheduled for 2022.
