II International Cooperative Forum in Bishkek

Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. The Second International Cooperative Forum on development of cooperatives in Central Asia is taking place in Bishkek with the participation of about twenty distinguished guests, who represent cooperative movement in India, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Tajikistan. The Forum is also attended by leaders of the Indian cooperative movement, an export on legislation and cooperative law from the University of Helsinki (Finland), former Head of the cooperation department the UN International Labor Office, experts and leaders of cooperatives from Great Britain, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey. Moreover, among the participants are leaders of 30 agricultural cooperatives from all the regions of Kyrgyzstan. The forum is organized by the Cooperatives Union of Kyrgyzstan jointly with the International Co-operative Alliance, and is financed by the European Union within the EU-ICA global partnership. The forum is also supported by the major cooperative in India IFFCO, specialized in producing agricultural fertilizers, and which is ready to commit itself to developing five model cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan in different sectors, as well as assist in developing a soil science laboratory.
