Jalal-Abad oblast and China's Shanxi province sign memorandum of cooperation

Taiyuan, Sept. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. Jalal-Abad oblast of Kyrgyzstan and Shanxi provinceof China signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed by Governor of Jalal-Abad oblast Kyianbek Satybaldiev and Governor of Shanxi province Lou Yangsheng in Taiyuan. Having welcomed the Kyrgyz delegation, the Governor of Shanxi province noted that the friendship between the two countries dates back to distant past. He stressed that within the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to China, the Joint Declaration was signed on the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. “It opened a new page of our friendship and gave impetus to our cooperation at the regional level”, Lou Yangsheng said. He told that the regions need to strengthen trade and economic relations, as well as in communications, agriculture, and other spheres. “We hope for steady and fruitful development between our regions”, the Governor of Shanxi province said. In turn, the Governor of Jalal-Abad oblast expressed gratitude for a warm welcome and pointed out that a practice of mutual trust in political, economic, and cultural fields has developed between the two countries. “It creates favorable conditions for the development of cooperation between our regions. We highly value the established friendly relations and mutual understanding, and are ready to focus all our efforts on deepening these ties”, Satybaldiev said. In addition, he briefly told his Chinese counterpart about the potential of Jalal-Abad oblast. “I can say with confidence that within the memorandum we have signed, we will focus all our efforts on reaching the goals we have set”, Satybaldiev assured. After the official signing ceremony, there was an exchange of gifts.
