Kazakhstan introduces ban on Kyrgyz citizens to cross border due to coronavirus

Bishkek, Mar.6, 2020. /Kabar/. The Government of Kazakhstan has banned Kyrgyz citizens from crossing the border through ID-cards (internal passport), Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Abdrakhmanov said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency. He added the ban will be introduced from Mar.8, 2020, it also applied on children crossing the border on the birth certificate with an insert. "This note was received the night before late, so the document is still under study. It notes the ban is temporary in nature and is introduced due to the situation in the world with the spread of coronavirus," Abdrakhmanov said.
