Kyrgyz Ministry of Health has development strategy up to 2030

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. The discussion of the Kyrgyz Government’s Program on public health and development of the health system for 2019-2030 - “Healthy Person – Prosperous Country” - should be concluded by the end of August, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health reported. The discussion was held in a cross-sector format with the participation of all the concerned sides, and the civil community. At the moment the completed document is being finalized in the ministries and entities. The final stage of discussions was a meeting in Bishkek. “In general, the discussion was very constructive, - Head of the Department of Public Health Baktygul Ismailova said. – Among the participants were Deputy Chiefs of district administrations, who themselves were making proposals, one of which suggests, by the way, to involve public organizations in the city in achieving objectives set in the program, such as village health committees that are functioning in regions. The program was approved by multiple sides. Many issues were related to restructuring healthcare organizations in Bishkek. Wishes were expressed on discussing all staff appointments with the local government authorities, because they work in close interaction”.
