Kyrgyz Parliament temporarily suspends its sessions because of coronavirus

The Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) temporarily suspends activities and reception of guests at the parliament’s building, Speaker Dastanbek Dhumabekov said at the session. According to him, earlier, deputies of local councils, pupils and students were invited to the parliamentary session on a permanent basis, now it has been suspended. "Restrictions on MPs' business trips are also being introduced, but there are deputies who travel abroad by agreement with organizations, we also warn them of the need to observe security when visiting countries," Dzhumabekov said. He also noted the Republican Headquarters of Coronavirus Prevention is working and introducing its recommendations and restrictions.
