Kyrgyzstan to participate in Central Asia Trade Forum in Tashkent

Tashkent, Oct. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. The eighth annual Central Asia Trade Forum (CATF) will be held in Tashkent for the first time, under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the press service of the Ministry of Trade of Uzbekistan reported on Thursday.
CATF is an annual event held with the participation of representatives of business circles of Central Asian countries, international organizations, prominent political and public figures of the region and the world. This year, over 1000 delegates, including from Kyrgyzstan, are expected to attend.
This forum is an effective platform that allows the business community to get acquainted with new opportunities in the emerging markets of Central Asia, with a population of more than 70 million people.
This event has established itself among business leaders, government officials and experts from Asia, the United States, Europe and the Middle East as a productive platform for exchanging ideas, making deals and creating new partnerships and future cooperation.
The topic of this year's CATF, “New Horizons in Trade and Investment”, reflects the growth of Central Asia’s openness to regional and international trade, especially consonant with the complex of socio-economic reforms carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at accelerating economic growth: from currency liberalization to the creation of attractive investment and business climate, the statement read.
