Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan intend to become strategic partners

Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2018 / Kabar /. The main political document during the state visit of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Turkmenistan will be a Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the countries, head of the foreign policy department of the President’s Office of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Sydykov told at the press conference in Bishkek. He said that this will become a historic event and open a new page of bilateral relations. Sydykov added that it is also expected to sign a solid package of documents - about 10. The state visit of Jeenbekov to Turkmenistan will take place on Aug. 23-24. Within the framework of the visit, Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow will hold talks in a narrow and enlarged format. Also, the Kyrgyz President will take part in the summit of heads of states-founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS), which is held in the city of Turmenbashy.
