MONGOLIAN PUPILS LEARN INDIAN CULTURE AND TRADITION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Some 50 pupils of the British School of Ulaanbaatar visited the Embassy of the Republic of India in Mongolia, on October 6.
During the tour, the pupils got familiarized with Indian custom through watching a short animation in English about the Indian tradition and a film named ‘One day in India’ in Mongolian.
“Mongolia and India have a long-year history linked by Buddhism. Mongolians know well India. I am pleased with an aspiration of Mongolian youths to know more about India,“ said Ravi Shanker Goel, second secretary of the Embassy of India in Mongolia. He added that the Indian Cultural Festival was organized in Mongolia in 2015. Moreover, about 800 monks are studying in India today. He also talked about the Indian governmental scholarship program for Mongolian students.
After watching the film, the pupils enjoyed a photo exhibition displaying meetings of Mongolian and Indian leaders.
