M'sian Singer Took Part In A Performance On Asean Musical Extravaganza 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, MARCH 2 -- Malaysian singer Jamal Abdillah (right), Suki (centre) and MK (left) took part in a performance on Asean Musical Extravaganza 2012 singing "Under the ASEAN Sky" song at The Palace of Culture Thursday night. The musical was staged in conjunction with the four-day 11th Conference of Asean Ministers Responsible for Information (AMRI), held here. The two-hour show featured 15 traditional and contemporary cultural performances by all Asean member states. Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, Information, Communications and Culture Minister Dr Rais Yatim, his Asean counterparts and the delegates attended the spectacular event. In his message in the Asean Musical Extravaganza 2012 programme book, he said cultural exchanges such as the musical extravaganza were an excellent way of connecting the peoples of Asean. "Such occasions offer an avenue for Asean people to enhance their understanding and appreciation of each other's culture and way of life. "These interaction opportunities foster closer people-to-people relationships and deepen the bonds that bind us together as a people and a region as we embark on our journey to build a single Asean community," Najib said.
